DAYO FAGBULU

Dayo Fagbulu studied Industrial design at Ahmadu Bello University. He then completed another degree in Fine Art at the University of Ife. He has been painting as a hobby using oil and acrylics since 1987. His paintings can be found adorning home/office walls of notable figures in Nigeria. He has also done some design work for the French cultural centre in Lagos, Nigeria.

Dayo has applied his unique combination of learning to integrate art into his work on buildings, stairways, steel and sculpture. He has worked alongside artists like Bisi Adeyemi, Wole lagunju etc. His major influences are the Yoruba culture and the Ife art school. After years of applying his artistry to everyday buildings; Dayo has returned to the canvas and is now creating acrylic paintings that are an expression of life and circumstances in the city of Lagos and the country of Nigeria.
